UWSP Health Center
"Network and Prosperity"
University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point aims to create a welcoming touchdown zone for students, as well as the general public with the new Health and Wellness Center. The three centers: Recreation Center, Health and Wellness Center, and Child Care Center will encompass a physical network of biophilic design elements that correspond to WELL Building Standards. The trio of centers will allow the campus a new activity hotspot that promotes connection and growth within the community.
Child Care Center
My personal focus area was the Child Care Center. This building incorporates natural elements that help children learn in an eco-friendly, biophilic way. Open window walls and nature inspired materials, such as the custom designed river inspired ball pit, are shown throughout the building. This will allow a calming environment for kids to come and enjoy day after day
